The stranger book report

Detachment From Emotions Meursault responds to situations in a way that is not normal in out society. The novel begins with him finding out that his mother died. It is the view that we create moral and ethical values though the choices that we make, that nothing is right or wrong until we make a choice, and the refusal to choose is a choice.

He manages to keep his mind occupied, and he sleeps for most of each day. He seemingly cares only about himself, but at the same time could be concerned little about what happens to him. The main character is Monsieur Meursault. Meursault is arrested and thrown into jail.

The two make a date to see a comedy at the movie theater that evening. He is being honest about everything. Meursault is taken to the courthouse early on the morning of his trial.

There were only a few people there. Raymonds friend Masson and his wife were waiting for them. He was intelligent, cold-hearted, insensitive, cold but in reality he did not want to lie and accept the terms and conditions set for him by the society.

When they realized what had happened both of them killed themselves. At the beach he met Marie, an ex-coworker. He does not car that his mother is deceased, which can be seen from an effort less means of not hiding lack of feeling over her death.

That person must always be able to defy the norms of society for the sake of the higher authority of a valid way of life. While they were eating they heard some noise coming out of Raymonds apartment.

I think the theme is basically about how people can be strangers to life, as is the case of Meursault. He was the editor of the newspaper Le combat and from he dedicated all of his time to his writing. Mersault got an offer from his boss to run the company in Paris but he said no to that.

The description of how the sun pushed Meursault toward him portrayed the scene very well. He stays in bed until noon and then sits on his balcony until evening, watching the people pass on the street. When he arrives, he speaks to the director of the home.

He was asked to repent for his crime but he said no to that because he did not want to live by the social standards and do something just because he was told to do it.

The Arab pulled out a knife and MErsault took the gun and killed him. It was weird how Meursault was overtaken by this urge to kill a man, when normally Meursault was very calm and collected during the story.

The Stranger (Book Report)

Mersault was observing the people and listened carefully to what the witnesses had to say about him. His relationship with his mother is superficial, he does not have any aspirations to have a family or closer relationships with someone.

In the sun the whole picture is blurry to him. Like the magistrate, the chaplain cannot believe that Meursault does not long for faith and the afterlife.

Months passed by and the trial began. The next day, during high temperatures, the funeral began. The Stranger In the book "The Stranger," the main character, Meursault, is a stranger to himself, and to life.

The Stranger

The title, The Stranger, in my opinion refers to the main character, Monsieur Meursault, and his perception of life. He seems to have no feeling at all, while the people around him show emotion, so I think that’s why it’s called The Stranger.
